Katherine Hernandez, LMT, specializes in helping people with carpal tunnel syndrome and plantar fasciitis, in addition to the elderly, those with Traumatic Brain Injury, and people who have had spinal surgery.
When she was a massage student at Lansing Community College, her skill, intuition, and compassion caught the attention of Kate Prouty, the owner of Patient Relaxation LLC, an instructor. Her fellow students said, "she has hands like velvet," and her interest in evidence-based practice set her apart from the others. After a year of Katherine working in various settings, Kate invited her to join the Patient Relaxation team.
Newly married, Katherine is a long time resident of Lansing, excels at sports, drawing, and writing. Her goals include participating in more high-level training in massage for hands and feet, and contributing to the Patient Relaxation blog.
